Mount Falcon Park

A 45 minute drive for views like these and a Sunday with
the kids will always make a good day.

These two always look like a Vineyard Vines ad
One of my favorite pictures!!

Rocky Mountain Wildlife Refuge

You know, just a slow Sunday of fishing and bison at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge...

Sunset, mountains and a bison...
does it get much cooler than this??

Thomas Takes Colorado

First world problem...when you live in such a beautiful place you have a ton of pictures. I'm so behind in posting. Rapid fire though....here they come.

In August Thomas came to stay for a week and having him here was so good for our souls. We love this kid...the third Hanson brother who comes in like he owns the place.

First up...St. Mary's Glacier hike

Henry jumped first.
This lake is purely glacier run off.
The boys officially termed the temperature "BALLS COLD"

And the smartest Hanson around -- no jumping for this girl
Elitch Gardens -- these kids never get tired of an amusement park

Representing the Nats at a Nats vs Rockies game.
We were absolutely destroyed lost but the kids and I had a great time!

N-A-T-S
Nats, Nats, Nats!!

Spartan Lax

I won't lie, it's so weird to see Henry in something other than Fort Hunt green and gold. Here he is though -- the newest in Spartan lacrosse!

Machebeuf Football - Game 3

Bishop Machebeuf - 46
Prospect - 0

Coming off of last weeks hard loss this shut out was a much needed morale boost.  I know Maxwell needed some confidence and fun back this week. Check and check!!
Hanson #50 at center
Hanson #50 at linebacker
#50 vs #77
Moose was outweighed by a good 60 pounds...

...the ball was well down and they were still going at it...

...a little shoulder tap...
...he always has the get the last word...
And again...
In the famous words of Henry Hanson...
...got 'em...

Let's go Buffs!!!

Quote of the Day by Henry

Vivian: Mom, can I have those cracker things for snack?
Me: By "cracker things" I assume you mean cookies??
Henry: Viv, I invented that game. When I ask Mom for a "wrap", we both know I mean "burrito".

Machebeuf Football - Game 2

Bishop Machebeuf - 14
University High School - 18

This was the first time Maxwell heard his name and number called out over the PA system...."Hanson #50 with the tackle". It was kind of crazy! Even though we didn't get the win, the game was a nail biter and a ton of fun to watch. Maxwell might not agree though -- those University boys were BIG -- and as the center (the smallest center in all of Colorado, as his Coach likes to say) he got thrown around like a rag doll sometimes. Got back up every time though and kept pushing -- his snaps looked good and his defense was strong. Saturday night game is up next!

GO BUFFS!!
