Snowmobiling Winter Park

We finally got around to celebrating Matt's birthday - snowmobiling style! It was maybe the most beautiful day in Colorado ever. Just perfect! Maxwell was on his own snowmobile and Matt and I had tandems - each with Henry and Vivian. I really though Henry would want to ride with Matt, but from the start he was adamant about going with me. In fact, I think he had the best quote of the day. He said, "Mom, there are two things I know not to trust. Gas station sushi and riding a snowmobile with Dad". I about died at that! Come to find out, it wasn't that he didn't trust Matt. It was really that he didn't trust me. He was fairly certain that I was going to flip or end up stuck in the middle of a hill and he figured he be better able to help me escape than Viv would be. Well, ok. That's fair...and appreciated.

The Luckiest Girl Alive

Yesterday Eric and Kiley had the biggest,  most ridiculous Valentine's Day balloon bouquet sent to Viv, at SCHOOL no less! In her words, she was "the luckiest girl alive"!!

Only 2 chocolate covered strawberries survived the night and
one balloon ended up with Maxwell's girlfriend today
so this was really a win, win, win for everyone!

Backwards Dance

Turns out the Backwards Dance pictures were better than the actual night...
I can't even handle how handsome and grown up Henry looked!
His baby face is melting away...

I think this might have been the point where Hen
was wondering what he had gotten himself into!
Oh, the freshman who look like babies...

National Signing Day

From 5 years ago on the Fort Hunt lacrosse C-team to signing as a Lycoming College lacrosse commit! This kid is all heart. All. Heart.

Let's go Warriors!!
Seth (lacrosse), Fernando (football), Maxwell (lacrosse), Remington (football), Jack (football)

The lax players...the hair gives it away
Maxwell's football coaches insisted he be included
 in their "football boys" picture

I'm not quite sure how I'm going to watch this boy walk away from me...
Disregard all the blue teeth and lips...it was after cake ;)

The beauty of going to Machebeuf...
Father Paul giving you and your buddies a pass for the rest of day!

January Highlights

A few Mile High Hanson highlights from January as we race full steam ahead. Big changes are on the horizon...
Our first real (7 in) snow storm came a couple of Sundays ago

Maxwell and Henry were both asked to the Backwards Dance...
Henry let me take a picture of his poster but not of he and C...typical Henry style!
Maxwell and M...always picture ready

And finally, a night out for Matt and I in Lower Downtown

When life throws you a curve ball, go out and drink big beers!
Cheers, January!
