BMHS Lax Banquet 2018

For anyone who knows Henry, you know that he doesn't let just anyone into his world. He's selective to say the least. When Coach Liam first stepped into the role of  head lacrosse coach at Machebeuf, Henry was probably a little skeptical. The team was somewhat "bad news bear-ish", and Henry was one of 6 freshman fighting for a spot on the (only) Varsity team.

But Coach worked his way into Henry's world and Henry worked his tail off.

By the end of the season, every time I talked to Coach he would say, "Henry. Man, I just love that kid!". He saw the work ethic in Henry but I think he also saw a small kid fighting to find his place on a bigger team. I think all 5'5" of Coach, saw himself in Hen and they just worked. When a coach, or a teacher, is able to connect with Henry, I know they've got something special. Coach Liam had that something, and it was definitely special.

Hanson #30 - one of three freshman that earned a Varsity Letter!
The banquet was so much fun -
I am going to miss this team and their families terribly!

Coach Liam and Coach Marcus who had no idea what they were getting
themselves into when they took over just two weeks before the start of the season.
Thank God they did though!
They've been great coaches and amazing mentors to these young men!

Moose did pretty well this season, too....

He was named to the 1st Team All Conference...

...and Machebeuf's team MVP...
This season has been so special for so many reasons...
one that I won't ever forget.
